I have both the Clymer and the Suzuki Shop Manual.
If I had it to do over I would not buy the Suzuki Shop Manual. The only thing of benefit to me in the Shop Manual is the change in carburetor jets and the gear ratios.
I actually found a better detail of an assembly in the Clymer Manual.
Here are the ratios:
All 4 speed models have 1.888 primary ratio and a 2.956 final ratio reductions.
All 5 speed models have 1.810 primary ratio and a 2.956 final ratio reductions.
Note; the 5 speed model has a different primary ratio!
The transmission ratios are as follows:
Four Sp.----- Five Sp.
1) 2.214------2.333
2) 1.500------1.578
3) 1.095------1.142
4) 0.875------0.956
5) -none------0.884
Top gear on a 4 speed has a 4.883 overall ratio
Top gear on a 5 speed has a 4.723 overall ratio 4th gear on a 5 speed has a 5.115 overall ratio
